The hens are on strike

Sorry folks but the hens are taking a little break from laying as much. We may have extra eggs every now and then but not nearly as much as we have had. So if you call and we are out of eggs please don't throw things at the hens!

lol..Mine are STILL on strike...If this continues,,the oven may be a future nesting spot.

Give em time! This is their first molt! And they don't lay much in the shorter days either. Last year we got one egg a day out of 13 hens for about two months. And three days we didn't get any. But some days we would get three. When the longer days start they will be laying full time again! Everyone needs a little break from work! And layers don't have enough meat to butcher either. Mine have been playing in the rain all day looking for worms and they are skrawny looking.
